Activating your eSIM (eSIM Activation)
Setting up your FLEXeSIM eSIM is an easy process, however, this varies between devices. Please click the below link for full set-up instructions for your handset.

Setting up your iPhone FLEXeSIM
Please ensure that your iPhone is connected to WiFi and follow the below:
Settings > Mobile Data > Select – Add Data Plan
You’ll be asked to use your phone’s camera to scan the QR Code that you have been provided.
Once this has been scanned, please click Add Data Plan.
You will then be prompted through your preference settings, step-by-step.
Please ensure you follow the below steps to set this up correctly.
STEP 1
Once the eSIM is loaded onto your phone, it will load as your ‘Secondary’ SIM. We recommend amending the name of this SIM to ‘FLEXeSIM’.
STEP 2
Ensure you set your personal SIM set as your Default Voice Line.
STEP 3
Ensure you set your personal SIM set as your Default iMessage and FaceTime Line.
STEP 4
Until the SIM is needed, please ensure that you select your personal SIM as your Mobile Data SIM and turn Mobile Data Switching off.
If you are uploading this to your device once you have already arrived in your destination country, please follow the steps in the ‘Using your FLEXeSIM section’ below.
Using your iPhone FLEXeSIM
Following this, you will need to amend your Mobile Data SIM preference when you are in your destination country.
Please follow the instructions below once you have arrived:
STEP 1
In Mobile Data, under Mobile Data, select ‘FLEXeSIM’ as your Mobile Data SIM and ensure Mobile Data Switching remains off.
STEP 2
In Mobile Data, under Data Plans, select your personal SIM and ensure you turn off Data Roaming in the SIM settings.
STEP 3
In Mobile Data, under Data Plans, select your ‘FLEXeSIM’ and ensure Data Roaming is switched on in the SIM settings.
Setting up your Google Pixel FLEXeSIM
Please ensure that your phone is connected to WiFi and follow the below:
Settings > Network & Internet > Select + next to SIMs > Select Download a SIM Instead
You’ll be asked to use your phone’s camera to scan the QR Code that you have been provided.
Once this has been scanned, please click Download.
Once this has downloaded, the SIM will not automatically turn on. You will instead need to select the new Downloaded SIM and select the edit button to amend the settings
Within these settings you are able to name the SIM, change its colour etc.
We recommend amending the name of this SIM to ‘FLEXeSIM’.
Your preferred calling line will stay as your ‘personal’ SIM.
Using your Google Pixel FLEXeSIM
Following this, you will need to amend your SIM preference when you are in your destination country.
Please follow the instructions below once you have arrived:
STEP 1
In SIMs, select ‘FLEXeSIM’ and click Use SIM > Yes
You will be prompted to use ‘FLEXeSIM’ as your mobile data, select Use FLEXeSIM.
STEP 2
In SIMs, select your personal SIM and ensure you turn off Data Roaming in the SIM settings if this is enabled.
STEP 3
In SIMs, select your ‘FLEXeSIM’ and ensure Data Roaming is switched on in the SIM settings.
Setting up your Samsung FLEXeSIM
Please ensure that your phone is connected to WiFi and follow the below:
Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager >
Select Add SIM > Scan Carrier QR code
You’ll then use your phone’s camera to scan the QR Code that you have been provided.
Once this has been scanned, please click Confirm.
You will then be prompted through your preference settings, step-by-step. Please ensure you follow the below steps to set this up correctly.
STEP 1
Once the eSIM is loaded onto your phone, it will load as ‘eSIM 1’.
We recommend amending the name of this SIM to ‘FLEXeSIM’ by
clicking into the SIM, then selecting Name.
STEP 2
Until the SIM is needed, ensure you set your personal SIM set as your Preferred SIM and that Data Switching is turned off.
STEP 3
Within Mobile Networks, ensure the Data Roaming is turned off on both SIMs.
If you are uploading this to your device once you have already arrived in your destination country, please follow the steps in the ‘Using your Samsung FLEXeSIM’ section.
Using your Samsung FLEXeSIM
Following this, you will need to amend your Mobile Data SIM preference when you are in your destination country.
Please follow the instructions below once you have arrived:
STEP 1
In the SIM Card Manager, select Preferred SIM, then Mobile Data and switch this to ‘FLEXeSIM’.
Please ensure Mobile Data Switching remains off.
STEP 2
In Mobile Networks, select your ‘FLEXeSIM’ and ensure Data Roaming is switched on in the SIM settings.
